Edward J. Lau

Edward J. Lau passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on July 25, 2017, one day after celebrating his 66th wedding anniversary. He was born on January 30, 1928 in Reeseville, WI to Edward and Adeline Lau. Ed married Patricia Wilkin in Milwaukee, WI in 1951. They moved to Los Angeles in 1961, and he worked as a union cabinetmaker for the next 37 years. Ed and Pat have been members of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1997. He enjoyed many trips to Europe, RVing, camping, fishing and woodworking. Ed was a kind, gentle man of great faith, a dedicated family man, and had a strong work ethic. He was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. Ed is survived by his wife, Patricia, children, Alesia Altman, Steven (Marcia) Lau, Mark (Kim) Lau and Jenny (Joe) Rayna, grandchildren, Brandon, Cody, Alesia, Megan, Matty, Calie (Nathaniel), Dontae, Taylor and Sean, and numerous great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday, July 31st at 2 pm with Pastor David Wagner officiating. Reception following in the Grace Center.
