Eileen C. Kersey

June 25, 1926 — October 8, 2016

Eileen C. Kersey, age 90 of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2016. She was born June 25, 1926 in South Euclid, OH to Lionel and Mabel (Lines) McConville.

Eileen married Richard Kersey in Seal Beach, CA in 1949. Eileen attended The Ohio State University, University of Southern California and Wichita State University, where she earned her B.A. in Biology. She was an active volunteer for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Assistance League of Bellingham, and the Wichita Art Museum. Eileen enjoyed boating, travel, cooking, and reading. She and Dick attended many cultural events such as art galleries, museums, and symphony performances.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Dick Kersey and her sister Marjorie Evans. She is survived by her son Steve Kersey (wife Geri Rea) of Bellingham, and their daughter Cassie, son Richard Kersey, Jr. (wife Jeannie) of Maryland, and their children Justin (wife Eliana), Rachael and David, daughter Elizabeth Kersey of Alaska and many loving friends.

Funeral Services for Eileen will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Bellingham at 11 AM on Friday, October 21st with the Rev. Charles W. Whitmore officiating. Reception will follow at the Church.
