Eleanor Irene Pilon, of Bellingham, WA, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Bellingham. She was 90, born in Bellingham on May 22, 1928 to James & Bertha (Colvin) Crombie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis in 1989 & her brothers James “Jim”, Jack & Robert “Bob” Crombie. Eleanor is survived by her daughters Linda & Connie Pilon; her brother Douglas “Doug” Crombie & sister Marilyn “Jean” Grooman; many nieces, nephews & cousins. For over 75 years Eleanor was an active member of Northside Community Church. She held numerous bookkeeping positions over the years both paid & volunteer, she received the Golden Acorn Award from Birchwood Elementary PTA, an avid bowler for over 40 years, and member of the Carpenters Auxiliary until her death. Eleanor was a Camp Fire leader, board member, Candy Sale Chairman & day camp volunteer; in 1982 she was awarded the Luther Halsey Gulick Award, the highest form of recognition given by a Camp Fire Council. Memorials may be made to Northside Community Church or Whatcom Hospice House. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 17th at 1:00pm at Northside Community Church, 950 Kline Rd., Bellingham, WA with a luncheon to follow. You may share your memories of Eleanor at
