Elizabeth Klander, age 95 passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 in Bellingham. She was born October 29, 1915 in Seattle to Robert and Edna Stevenson. Elizabeth married John Klander in 1935 and together they raised their family here in Bellingham. She enjoyed travelling and gardening. Elizabeth was an active member of Church of the Assumption. She was preceded in death by her husband John, grandson Aaron and sister Geraldine. She is survived by her six children, Nona Klander, John (Mary) Klander, James (Veralyn) Klander, Nadeen (Ira) Tigner, Rick (Sue) Klander and Mary (Pete) Postlewait, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice. Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Thursday, April 28th from 3-5 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Friday, April 29th at 12 noon, followed by a reception across the street at Westford’s Broadway Hall.
