Ernest "Ernie" M. Hinds

Ernest (Ernie) M. Hinds passed away on March 21, 2021 in Bellingham at the age of 80 years old. Ernie was born in Portland, OR to Dr. William E. and Evelyn (Montgomery) Hinds.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents William and Evelyn, and his older brother William Jr. (Willy). He is survived by his brothers Thomas (Cynthia) Hinds, and James Hinds.
He graduated from Bellingham high school and WWU with a bachelor’s degree and USC with a master’s degree in computer science. He was a proud Mensa member and enjoyed their fellowship. He enjoyed classical music and going to the opera especially with his mother. He has played the oboe since high school. He was an avid book reader and had an immense personal library.
He was an active member of the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship choir and enjoyed singing with the group and the friendships he made.
