We mourn the sudden passing Ethan Paul Leifheit, age 35, of Ferndale, WA, on December 4, 2024. Ethan was a loving and caring son, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many. His gentle and kind soul will forever be missed.
Ethan was born in Bellingham, WA, to Dana and Kim Leifheit on May 17, 1989. He graduated from Ferndale High School and worked as a Journey Laborer 1 and Supervisor for Walker Specialty Construction for the past 12 years.
Ethan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel and Colleen Leifheit, and Cletus and Esther Chartier.
Ethan will be lovingly remembered by his beloved daughter, Kaydance; sister, Autumn; brother, Cody (Chelsea); mother, Kim (Tim); father, Dana; his nieces and nephews, Vincent, Hunter, Gunnen, Madison, and Brayden; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, close friends, and neighbors.
Ethan was passionate about his family and extended family. He loved navigating the wild terrain of Washington and Idaho and the oceans near his home in Ferndale. His favorite thing to do was hunt and fish with his brother and friends and to cook feasts from the bounty of his hunts. When he wasn’t hunting or fishing, he was spending time with his daughter and nephews planning the next adventure. Ethan was a soft-spoken man with a warm heart and was a close friend and co-worker to many.
A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date in the new year.
