Evelyn Yvonne Stromberg, age 94 of Bellingham, passed away Nov. 6, 2010. She was born May 3, 1916 to William Matson & Evelyn (Minnie) Matson (Frazee). She moved from Minnesota to Montana where she married Francis H. Stromberg in Chinook, MT in 1934. She raised her family in Great Falls, MT, working in retail and as an assistant registrar at the College of Great Falls. Moving to Oakland, CA in the 1960s, she worked as a credit manager of the East Bay Glass Company and then to Santa Cruz at the Credit Bureau, retiring in 1982. She loved reading, movies, and travel; going to Europe, Hawaii, and Mexico.
She is survived by her sons Michael F. Stromberg and Jon W. Stromberg (wife Bernadette), all of Bellingham; grandson Jon (wife Carol) and their daughters Hannah and Mia, who reside in Bellingham; grandson Andrew (wife Kimberly) and their children Kendall, Cameron, and Natalie, who reside in Vancouver, WA.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Courtyard Facility for Evelyn’s great care. A Family Gathering will be held.
