Frances C. Anderson

Frances Anderson, age 99, passed away peacefully in Bellingham on February 26, 2018. Frances was born October 3, 1918 in Minneapolis, MN to Gladys Marr and Frank Coyle. She received tap dance lessons from an early age. While attending the University of Minnesota in the 1930’s she met her future husband, William K. Anderson, who would later earn the rank of Colonel in the US Air Force. While William served as a hospital administrator with VA they lived in Fargo, ND, Jackson, MS, Houston, TX, and Los Angeles, CA, before retiring in Indian Wells, CA. After the death of William, she met James Bailey of Sydney, Australia and Bellingham, and eventually she moved to Bellingham to be close to him. Her last few years were spent at Highgate Assisted Living where she was widely loved and appreciated by the staff. Frances was kind and friendly to all of the staff and residents. She was a beautiful, old-fashioned, traditional woman who was proud of her unique femininity. She is survived by her adopted son Scott Anderson and her loving companion James Bailey.
