Gary A Chris age 57 passed away suddenly on December 3, 2016, while on business travel in Sydney, Australia. Gary was born in Seattle, Washington, on September 18, 1959 to Alfred and Barbara Chris.
He remained in the Seattle area until 1994, before moving to Bellingham, Washington with his wife Debbie. Gary graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle. During his school years, he had a great passion for playing Baseball. He later attended Green River College, where he continued his passion for Baseball. Luckily for all of us, that passion turned into engineering. He eventually found his way to Heath Tecna (Zodiac Aerospace), where his career lasted for over 30 years. He started his career as a design engineer and presently was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Here, Gary traveled the world, where he made many lasting relationships with customers that he turned into friends. He had a strong commitment to his friends and career. If you met Gary, no matter how brief, you were his friend for life. Gary lived each day to its absolute fullest. Gary's true passion was his family, and nothing in this world was more important to him than his wife Debbie and children Alexis and Mitchell. Gary and Debbie were married in August of 1994. Together with their children, they all had a lifetime of adventures, memories, and laughs. His loved ones will cherish these memories forever.
Gary is survived by his parents, Alfred and Barbara Chris; wife Debbie; children Alexis and Mitchell; sister Darlene Hamilton (husband Scott); in-laws Dick and Gerry Hewlett; many family, and countless friends, including Melissa Frughling.
At the family's wishes, a private service will be held for immediate family. Due to the substantial number of colleagues and friends throughout the world who also wish to memorialize Gary, a Celebration of Life will be organized in the February time frame. This will enable the necessary logistical planning, and will provide adequate time for those who will be traveling to make reasonable arrangements. We will provide full details for Gary's Celebration of Life as soon as they are finalized.
