Gary J. Ryan

Gary Ryan, age 74, passed away in Bellingham on March 8, 2022. He was born September 29, 1947 in Bellingham to Jay and Lena (Wispinski) Ryan. Gary graduated from Mount Baker High School in 1965. He proudly served in the US Navy as a Seabee in Vietnam. Gary married Lorna Phelps on September 12, 1970. He was a welder at Intalco Aluminum for 34 years. Gary loved fishing in the Skagit River and in British Columbia. He also loved driving his Corvettes. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Edward Ryan. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lorna, sister Mary Zender, and many loving relatives and friends. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Enterprise Cemetery in Ferndale at 1 PM on Thursday, March 17th. You may share memories with the family at www.westfordfuneralhome.com .
