Gary Chapman Smith of Bellingham, Washington died peacefully on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Born January 5, 1952, Gary was the son of Barbara Ballou Smith and the late Mason Smith.
He was raised in New Canaan, Connecticut and was a graduate of New York University. Gary loved animals, the Puget Sound, and his work as an award winning Advertising Agency Copy Writer/Creative Director in New York City and California.
Gary was predeceased by his father, Mason Smith, and his older brother Mason Ballou Smith. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Ballou Smith of Washington, Connecticut, his younger brother Douglas Caldwell Smith of Beaufort, North Carolina, and his nephew F. Whitney Smith of New York City.
