Gertie Erdahl, age 90 passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013. She was born December 25, 1922 in Temple, ND to Albert and Clara (Olsen) Larsen. As the firstborn of 12 kids, Gertie helped raise her siblings. Her family was very important to her and she loved to be with them. Throughout her life she was always the family caregiver and she was an excellent homemaker. She was a devoted Christian and loved going to church on Sunday. Gertie was preceded in death by her husband Gene, grandson Douglas Rygh and son-in-law Mel Montgomery. She is survived by her sons David (Ordell) Erdahl and Wes (June) Erdahl; daughters Gloria (Dave) Downing, Dolores (Don) Rygh, and Coralie Montgomery (fiance Derek Hager), grandchildren Scott, Craig, Niki, Brandon, Heather, Shelly, Shannon, Shane, Dennis, Duane, Richard and Kris and 17 great-grandchildren. Graveside services at 2:30 PM on Friday, Jan 25th at Greenacres Cemetery. Memorial Services at 11 AM on Sat Jan 26th at Word of Life Lutheran Brethren Church, 9028 51st Ave. NE, Marysville.
