Gloria Bourm passed away at her home in Bellingham on Monday, December 5, 2011. She was born June 6, 1928 to Reg and Varian Hillyard, the eldest of three daughters, followed by sisters Anne and Rosemary. Gloria attended Bellingham High School and WWU, where she met a football player named John Bourm. They married and she is survived by their four sons; Bob (wife Kelli) and their son Evan, Richard, John, Jr. (wife Denine) and Roger (wife Shannon). She is also survived by her granddaughters Matina and Allyse, along with their mother Marlys Bourm.
She lived in Bellingham all of her life, traveled the world, and loved to play bridge and golf with her friends at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club. She was proud of her three holes-in-one, the last one at age 80. She bought, remodeled and sold quite a few houses on South Hill and then ran her father’s investment company until she retired. She took up flying at age 50. A family gathering will be held.
