Grace Kuipers, age 92 passed away October 31, 2011 in Bellingham. She was born to Frank and Gertrude Fisher on September 24, 1919 in Everett, WA and was raised in Lynden. She married Donald Kuipers on May 28, 1938 in Lynden. They raised their family in Van Zandt, where they lived in the same home for 69 years. Grace’s love of her life was her family. Grace enjoyed crocheting, gardening and cooking. She was an active member of the Welcome Senior Center. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1990. She is survived by daughters Marilyn (Louis) Toth and Karen Kuipers, grandchildren Karen Toth, Donna (Stefano) Borzone, Kristi Vanerstrom, Erik (Kun) Vanerstrom and Lindsay Wood, great-grandchildren Aleksander, Andrew and Matthew Borzone and Amanda and Connor Moore, and many loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of Grace’s life will be held at River of Life Community Church, 4019 Valley Hwy 9 in Van Zandt on Saturday, November 5th at 1 PM.
