Our mother, Grace Tannenbaum has gone to waltz again with her loving husband Ray on June 10, 2016. Grace was 85 years old, born June 1, 1931 in Naperville, IL to Louis and Anna Arbogast and was the youngest of 5 children.
On February 12, 1955 she married the love of her life at Saints Peter & Paul Church. Grace worked as a secretary for several years but took time off to raise their two children. When she eventually returned to work she chose a career that would ensure that she had summers off to be with her children. While managing the cafeteria at Washington Jr. HS, she was known as “Miss Gracie” and became a wonderful part of many students’ daily lives. She loved to cook, dance and most of all, spend time with her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, brother Bernard Arbogast and sister Bernice Gallup. She is survived by her son Scott (wife Marilynn) Tannenbaum of San Antonio, Texas and daughter Debbie Gann of Bellingham, WA; her grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie and Jacob Tannenbaum and Elisabeth Gann as well as her sisters Agnes (Wilber) Darrah and Delores Pokorny, and many loving relatives and friends. She left us all with a “Touch of Grace”.
Memorials in Grace’s name may be made to Alzheimer Society of WA.
