Hazel Linse, age 91 of Bellingham passed away on February 6, 2016. She was born November 17, 1924 in Ulysses, Kansas, the third of nine children born to Samuel and Pearl (Thomas) Turner.
Hazel loved to go dancing and will be remembered as being fun-loving, caring, and a snappy dresser always decked out in perfectly coordinated outfits and her signature high heeled shoes. She loved the holidays and family gatherings. Hazel especially liked dressing up for Halloween. She was a past volunteer at the VFW Post 1585, Bellingham Senior Center and the Meals on Wheels program at Lincoln Square, where she resided for over 20 years.
Hazel was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald, an infant son, granddaughter Melissa Jorgensen, sisters Irene Elliott, Wilma Fulton, brothers Lester, Clarence, Robert and Ralph Turner. She is survived by her three daughters Judy (Larry) Good, Bernice (Ken) Jorgensen and Debra Land, sister Leona McKee, brother Virgil Turner, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild soon to be, and many loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen North Cascade Health and Rehabilitation for the loving care and respect shown to Hazel and her family during her residence there.
A celebration of Hazel’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 2PM on Saturday, February 20th. Reception following.
