Hazel Reed, age 94 of Lynden passed away peacefully on August 28th, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born April 21, 1918 in Battleford, Saskatchewan to Alexander and Jessie Menzies. Hazel married Harry L. Reed in 1955. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. Hazel loved classical music, poetry and was proud to be of Scottish Heritage. We all loved her ready wit and her wonderful sense of humor. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Harry in 2005. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and her dog Sophie. Hazel will be laid to rest with her husband Harry at Tahoma National Cemetery.
