Helen Marie Cole

Marie Cole, age 85, passed away on February 27, 2018 in Bellingham, WA. Marie was born November 10, 1932 in Tacoma, WA to Selby and Rachel Cole. She graduated from Bellingham High School and then earned a teaching degree at Western Washington School of Education (now Western Washington University). Marie was a career elementary school teacher, a dedicated gardener and a lover of cats. She made her home in Longview, WA, where she taught generations of third graders. She is survived by her brother George Cole (wife Autumn) of Bellingham, WA, her sister Margaret Schmeling of Arlington, WA, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Forest Cole. A graveside service will be held at Arlington Municipal Cemetery in Arlington, WA on Saturday, March 3rd at 3 PM.
