Helen G. Walsh

Helen Walsh, age 93 of Bellingham, WA passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2017. She was born in Spokane, WA to Charles and Anna (Hannig) Walsh on November 18, 1923. After graduating from high school in Portland, OR, she served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) during WWII. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Assumption where she was also a member of Catholic Daughters. Helen worked for Puget Power for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her brothers Tom, Francis and Leo and her sister Marian. She is survived by her sister-in-law Marguerite Walsh and many nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends. A Vigil Service will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 6 PM on Thursday, March 9th. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 10th. Reception to follow. Memorials may be made to Church of the Assumption or Lynden Human Life.
