She met and married Naval Captain Horace “Bay” Chambers (deceased) of Mangham, Louisiana and traveled the world from Guam to Newport, RI, including many stops in between during Bay’s long Naval career. After Bay’s retirement they lived on Whidbey Island and attended St. Augustine Church.
She is survived by her children Robert Chambers (DeAnne), William Chambers (Mary), and Kathryn Schulte (Steve). Her daughter, Mary Mero, left a hole in her heart when she died in 2010. Mary’s husband, Jeff Mero (Ellen), remains part of the large family.
