Homer C. Douglas, age 89 passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 in Bellingham. He was born August 3, 1922 in Habersham, TN to John and Alice Douglas. Homer served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Homer was a roofer for many years. He enjoyed playing pool and fishing. Homer enjoyed life and could make anyone smile. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy, daughter Lucy, grandson Jamie, and brother Jessie. He is survived by his daughter Melanie, sons Michael and Greg, numerous grandchildren including Chad, Miranda, Jennifer, Joshua, Anthony, Nikkia, Ross, Hayley, Natalie, great-grandchildren Ryan, Bryleigh, and Bentley, sister Emily, and former daughter-in-law Liane. The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers who helped Homer in his last months. A Celebration of Homer’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Saturday, November 5th at 1 PM.
