Hugh Alexander Maconaghie

Hugh Maconaghie, age 69, passed away September 1, 2021 in Bellingham. He was born August 22, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to D. O. "Mac" and Shirley (Moore) Maconaghie. The family followed Mac’s military career and eventually moved to Bellingham in 1959. Hugh graduated from Sehome High School and served in the US Navy. Hugh and Lynda Johnson were friends in high school and later reconnected and married on August 27th, 1983 in Bellingham. Together they raised her daughter, Cassandra. He enjoyed singing in a men’s barbershop group and watching the Seattle Seahawks and the Mariners. He was preceded in death by his wife Lynda on November 3, 2020. He is survived by his step-daughter, Cassie Goes, brother James Maconaghie, and niece Jaime Maconaghie.
