Hurschel Cleveland, age 90, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2021 in Lynden, WA. He was born September 11, 1931 in Houghton, South Dakota to Charles and Ona (Rude) Cleveland. Hurschel married Wanda Biendl on August 27, 1952.
After graduation from Bellingham High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He was an avid vegetable and flower gardener and loved his Dahlias. A longtime barber, Hurschel owned his own business in Whatcom County for over 35 years.
Hurschel was preceded in death by his loving wife Wanda in 2017. He is survived by his four children, Rachelle (Bill) Gorsuch, Renee (Mikol) Gugich, Mike (Lisa) Cleveland and Melinda Bodven, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2pm at Greenacres Memorial Park.
