Irma Estela (Jones) Bauthues of Bellingham, WA passed away at home on July 1, 2022, at age 81. Born December 7, 1940, to Alejandro A. and Estela R. Jones in Trujillo, Peru, she graduated from a Catholic high school and later studied Interior Design at the Catholic University of Lima. She worked as a paralegal before moving to the USA. She married Donald Bauthues on June 20, 1972. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Don, daughter Kirstine (Joel) Todd, daughter Karla (Gregory) Anderson and son Ryan Bauthues; five grandsons, Asher, Kellen, and River Todd, and Jack and Freddy Anderson. She is also survived by her brother Guillermo Jones, sister Maria-Teresa (Thomas) Newell, sister-in-law Bonna Beck, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Irma had a deep love and devotion for her children and grandchildren- supporting their interests and activities, and guiding them through her examples of kindness, generosity, and grace. She enjoyed hosting the extended family with her delicious meals on holidays and special occasions. Irma’s creative side was expressed through growing beautiful flowers and sewing amazing pillows that she sold at farmer’s markets and bazaars. Our beloved Irma will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption at 10:30 on Friday, July 8th. A reception will follow at the Church.
