James D. Haynes

James D. Haynes, age 78, passed away October 15, 2022 at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham. He was born on November 8, 1943 in Bellingham, WA to Donald and Mary Haynes.
James graduated from Bellingham High School in 1963 and joined the US Navy. He had a passion for music, played several instruments, and performed with Bellingham High School Alumni Band. He was also an active member of the American Legion Post #7. During his retirement years he enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his son Josh Haynes (Tina), daughter Leann Irwin (Will), four step-children, Holly Sebastian (Chris), Chris, Jeff, and Scott Heathers, sister Jeannette Hunt, and several grandchildren, who will all miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Twyla Haynes.
Services will be held on Friday, October 21st: 10am graveside service with military honors at Greenacres Memorial Park followed by an 11am memorial service with reception at Westford Funeral Home, 1301 Broadway St. in Bellingham.
