James Edward Weber
Jim Weber, age 83, passed away on November 11, 2011. He was born August 20, 1928 in Uniontown, WA to John and Marguerite (Adams) Weber. He graduated from Gonzaga University and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Audrey Williams on October 30, 1954 in Seattle. Jim worked for SeaFirst (later Bank of America) in Seattle, Spokane, and Bellingham, retiring as vice-president of the Trust Department after 40 years of dedicated service. Jim was an active volunteer for Catholic schools and organizations. He was a very involved member of St. Joseph’s parish in Seattle, Our Lady of Fatima in Spokane, and the Church of the Assumption in Bellingham.
Jim was a devoted family man and spent most of his time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his yard and garden, fishing, camping, and watching his grandchildren participate in their various sports and activities. He was known for his integrity, his gentle spirit, and his steadfast devotion to his faith, family and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rita and brothers Marion, Joe, Fr. Dan Weber, S.J., and Bob. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Audrey, daughters Shary Weber, Mary Jo Hoisington, Becky (Gary) Russell, Kathy Weber, Theresa (Martin) Dursse, Ann Marie (Richard) Rutledge, son Jim (Carrie) Weber, grandchildren Brian, Patti, Cara, Michael, Joey, Andrew, Zach, Jake, Hannah, Luke, Danny, Shelby, Meghan, Nichole and Nathaniel, great-granddaughter Harper, foster son Kevin Kim, brothers Jack, Dick and Martin, sister Mary Ann, several godchildren, nieces and nephews and many loving relatives and friends.
A vigil service will be held at 7 pm on Wednesday, November 16 at Westford Funeral Home in Bellingham. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption on Thursday, November 17 at 10:30 am followed by a reception at the church social hall. Committal will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
