Janet L. Swan passed away on March 22, 2018 in Bellingham, WA. Janet was born on August 4, 1938 in Sparta, WI to Elmer and Lola Olsen. She was one of four children, and was an identical twin with her sister, Jane. She graduated from Nursing School in 1959 from Madison General Hospital in Madison, WI. Janet married D. Richard Swan shortly thereafter and they relocated to the town of Hemet, CA where they began raising a family. Janet resided in Hemet until 1997 when she retired and moved to Bellingham, WA. Before retirement, Janet was a registered nurse for several decades. Along the way, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management in 1986 from the University of Redlands. She then began work as an insurance contract coordinator for the local hospital in Hemet, CA. She enjoyed walking and gardening, watercolor paintings and new age music. She particularly enjoyed the fellowship of her friends in her church in Bellingham. She was predeceased by her second husband Jerry Uecker, and her sisters Doris Stenzel and Joyce Heenan. Janet is survived her first husband, D. Richard Swan, sons Barry (Marianne Ronay) Swan and Mark (Rene) Swan, grandchildren Nathan Swan, Byron (Elisabeth) Swan and Adam Swan, her sister, Jane Bemis of Great Bend, KS, and her very dear nieces Susan, Linda, Claire, and Barbara.
