Janet (Taylor) Porter

Janet Porter, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013, at the Christian Healthcare Center in Lynden,WA. Janet was born on July 15, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to Eunice and Raymond Taylor. Janet was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio until she moved with her husband, Roy J. Porter, to Lynden in 2006 to be near their sons and families.
Janet was a devoted wife to her husband and high school sweetheart, Roy, as well as a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she thrived on the time she could spend with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and loved to play board games. After Roy had passed away, she found friendship with the seniors at the Lynden Senior Center.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband Roy J. Porter in 2011. She is survived by her sons Rick (Rosanna) Porter, Daniel (Lynda) Porter; her grandchildren, Regina Porter, Rick (Supharat) Porter, Nathaniel (Jenna) Porter, and Benjamin Porter. She leaves her sister-in-law Marjorie Pavkov, brothers-in-law William (Rita) Porter, John (Beverly) Porter; and many nieces and nephews.
