Jean Rozitski, age 89, passed away peacefully at her Everson home, surrounded by her family on September 21, 2014. She was born January 26, 1925 in Seattle, WA to William and Gladys Andriff. She graduated from Bellingham High School in 1943. She met her future husband, Joseph Rozitski, while he was stationed here during WWII, and they were married on April 8, 1946 in Pennsylvania. Jean worked as a bookkeeper in Bellingham for many years. Jean loved life, family, nature, pets and gardening. The family is grateful for the services provided by Meals on Wheels, Northwest Regional Council, Catholic Community Services and Whatcom Hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, step-father Ted Wiemers, brother Ernie Andriff and great-grandson Logan Burns. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Burns (Kevin), grandson Russell Burns (Lisa) and their children Rylan, Addison and Lilyana, grandson Jason Burns (Samantha) and their children Benjamin and Brody, brother-in-law Chester Rozitski, and many loving nieces and nephews in Washington and on the East Coast. A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 2 PM on Friday, September 26th, followed by a reception. Jean will be laid to rest at Nooksack Cemetery.
