Jan Hood passed away quietly in her sleep on Friday, May 20, 2011. Jan was born in Seattle on August 14, 1950. She lived all her adult life in the Blaine-Ferndale area. Jan is survived by her loving children, John H. Hood IV, Elizabeth Rose Hood, Robert Guay and the light of her life, granddaughter, 22 month old Maicee. Her other surviving family include sister Judy Burrows, Aunt and Uncle, Kay and Marlin Nelson and a loving extended family. Jan lived life with many medical problems, unable to leave her home in her last years, but she had many friends who supported and loved her. She loved animals, Harleys, candles, and baseball. Jan had a strong faith in God that gave her great inner strength. A celebration of Jan’s life will be held at Westford’s Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway, on Sunday, June 12th at 3 PM.
