Jesse Taylor-Bryant Ericksen passed away on June 21, 2023, in Bellingham, WA, following a long battle with depression. He was 29 years old.
Jesse was born on November 28, 1993, in Olympia, to parents Charles and Jodi (Thramer) Ericksen. He graduated from Bellingham High, earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science at WWU, and was building his career in the tech industry. Jesse worked at Körber Supply Chain as a solution consultant.
Jesse was as passionate about the arts as he was about computers. He played guitar, wrote songs and poetry, and had an eclectic taste in music ranging from Bob Dylan to Wes Montgomery to Taylor Swift.
He dabbled in gourmet cooking, and took pride in preparing unique meals for others. Always seeking out the spiciest pepper, Jesse loved hosting food challenges and cooking with a million different gadgets. Jesse played just about any sport, from soccer to golf, basketball to ping-pong. He loyally followed Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
Nothing was more important to him than his friends and family. He was a devoted uncle to his five nieces and nephews. He always looked forward to a game night with loved ones, and was legendary for his thoughtfulness as a gift-giver (especially his elaborately planned white elephant contributions!). He adored his two cats, Kara and Desmond.
Jesse is survived by his mother Jodi Ericksen (Kelly Lee), his father Charles “Chuck” Ericksen, sisters Brittany Micka-Foos (Karl) and Mikaela Ericksen (Nick Andersen), and his nephews and nieces Lenore, Silas, Alijah, Eliza, and Luna. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
