Joe Cardinale

Giuseppe A. “Joe” Cardinale passed away on July 9, 2022 in Bellingham. He was born on February 16, 1965 to Pietro “Pete” and Rosa (Costanzo) Cardinale in San Pedro, California. Joe was a lifetime resident of Bellingham and graduated from Sehome High School in 1983. He married Shannon Rhea on December 2, 1995. Joe and Shannon have owned and operated Joe’s Automotive since 2005. Joe officiated football for high school, Division III college, and UW Husky practices. He was an amazing husband, dad, brother, uncle and friend. Joe was a man of integrity and was generous and hard-working. He had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. Joe was a bulldog lover, a Seahawks season ticket holder, a history buff, and loved golf and travel. Joe is survived by his wife Shannon, his daughters Alexandria “Ali” (Will) Moreno, Isabella “Izzy” Cardinale, and Josafina “Josie” Cardinale, his sisters Rose Cardinale and Catrina (John) Bremer as well as many nieces, nephews, two great-nephews and one great-niece. You are invited to a celebration of life service at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, July 19th at 12:00pm with a reception following.
