John Hogan, age 57 of Bellingham passed away on December 2, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on September 10, 1957 in Bellingham, WA to Darius J. and Grace (LaFreniere) Hogan. John graduated from Redwood School.
His job at Current Industries was his life and he was always eager to go to work. He was employed there for 21 years. He was supported by residential services and his friends at Access Living. His hobbies included traveling, camping, swimming, bowling, fishing, dancing, music, putt-putt golf and especially the Puyallup Fair. John also greatly enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics where he won numerous medals for swimming. John was a member of the Faith and Light Group at Church of the Assumption. We were truly blessed to have known him, to love him and most of all, to have been loved by him.
John was preceded in death by his parents John and Grace Hogan, sister Mary Joan Kope and nephew Alexander Kope. He is survived by his sisters Kathy (David) Hamilton, Carol (Harold) Thomas and Myrna (Mick) Butenschoen and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10 from 5-7PM followed by a Vigil Service at 7PM at Westford Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption on Thursday, December 11 at 10:30AM. Fr. Scott Connolly will be officiating. A reception will follow at Westford’s Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway, Bellingham, WA. Burial will follow at Greenacres Memorial Park.
