John Somody, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He was born September 6, 1937 in Stamford, CT to John and Elizabeth Somody. Before moving to Bellingham John worked for Bechtel Corporation. In Whatcom County he worked for Anvil Corporation, retiring as a Vice-President. John was a passionate golfer and an active member of the Bellingham Golf & Country Club for many years. John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers Robert and Emery Somody, former wife Cheri Somody, niece Madison and nephew Dakota Vondrachek, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A family gathering will be held.
