Joe Marshall, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2012. He was born February 24, 1938 in Bellingham to Neal and June (Basinsky) Marshall. Joe was a career Longshoreman and a proud member of the ILWU Local #7. As a talented musician and entertainer, Joe was the lead vocalist for a number of local bands which he created. Joe followed his dream and moved to Montana where he owned and operated the Bar 87 and casino for over 10 years. He had a big heart and enjoyed helping others. Joe was preceded in death by his infant daughter Cindy and his daughter Jo Anne Marshall. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Marshall, son Joseph Marshall and his companion Stephanie Mitchell, grandchildren Jared, Tiffani, Amber, Seren and Dominic, great-grandchildren Zoe and Sonny, sister Marie and many loving friends throughout the country. The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff of Whatcom Hospice who helped Joe in his final days. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice.
