Joseph E. Mustappa
August 30, 1944 — January 27, 2015
Joe Mustappa, age 70, passed away peacefully of natural causes at home in Bellingham on January 27, 2015. He was born August 30, 1944 in Eugene, OR to Nick and Irene Mustappa.
Joe graduated from Bellingham High School in 1962 and earned his B.A. in History at WWU. He worked at Seattle Trust as a loan officer for over 10 years, as a commercial fisherman with his father, and later worked at Lake Whatcom Treatment Center. Joe was an active member of Church of the Assumption.
He was preceded in death by parents Nick and Irene and sister Mary Ellen Gordon. He is survived by his son Jeff, grandchildren Tyler and Jade, former wife Terrill, brother Frank (wife Anne), nieces Mary and Nicole, and many loving relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to Assumption Catholic School.
A Vigil Service will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 7 PM on Wednesday, February 4th. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 5th. Reception following. Committal will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
