Services will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 11 AM, followed by a luncheon reception.
Joyce Boynton Blakeman, age 53, passed away August 4th, 2010 in Smokey Point, WA, where she lived most of the last year with her loving caregiver, Linda Swensen. Through her severest trials, Joyce never lost her faith in our Lord. She will be remembered for her kind heart and fun-loving spirit. She was born November 1, 1956, the daughter of Elva (Dibble) and Solon R. Boynton Sr., MD. After graduating from Bellingham High School, ’75, and WWU, Dean’s List, Joyce worked as a private duty nurse and in Home Health Care.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Bert Bedell, her parents and brothers Steven and Clayton. Her second marriage to Larry Trail ended in divorce. She is survived by brother Solon (Sharon) Boynton III, Olympia; sisters Marie (Lee) Evans, NYC, and Cathy (Roy) Boynton-Perdue; niece Joy Boynton Perdue, Shoreline; nephew Leigh Boynton, OR; and devoted cousin Lori Dibble Dodd, Everson. The Boynton family wishes to thank cousins Pastor David Crook and wife Janet, AZ, cousins Mike Dodd, Everson, Don and JoEllen Dibble, CO, and Carolyn Crook Downing, CA, and the Parberry family for their heartfelt prayers and support throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Bellingham Lighthouse Mission at 910 W. Holly St., Bellingham, WA, 98225.
