Joyce E. Reynolds

April 13, 1927 — April 7, 2018

Joyce E. (Kendall) Oiness Reynolds passed away peacefully on April 7, 2018. She follows husbands Merlin J. Oiness and Arthur E. Reynolds. Joyce was born April 13 1927, in Everett, Washington to Addi (Addison) Allen and Matti (Martha Lou Ratcliff) Kendall. Matti is the famous "Grandma Kendall". Joyce pursued a career at Western Washington University. She retired as the administrative assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Joyce loved to sing and play the piano. She also loved to play cards. She is survived by children Kathy Lind (Craig), Mark Oiness (Kathy), Marlene Bronson (Howard), Steve Oiness (Michelle) and step-son Steve Reynolds (Denise), as well as her 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and Art's many grandchildren and great-children. Her children say "She was the best mother imaginable. THE BEST. She took care of us and taught us and loved us and made us all feel special. She made sure each of us kids got the same number of raisins on our peanut butter and raisin sandwiches. And as the years went by, she was always an important part of our lives and helped us along our paths. We miss her and if you knew her at all, you probably will too." Memorials may be made to the Whatcom Hospice Foundation, 3001 Squalicum Pkwy #11, Bellingham, WA 98225.
