Kylah Irene Hadley "Nex" was born on September 10, 2007 – the beloved daughter of Kevin Hadley and Rebecca Sprinkle. Tragically, on Sunday, October 8th, she was taken from us far too soon due to an accidental drug overdose.
Nex was a bright young soul, pursuing her education at BTS, where she was working towards her GED. Having recently celebrated her 16th birthday, she was looking forward to getting her driver's license in the coming month, a symbol of the independence she longed for.
On the day before her passing, Nex and her Dad shared a memorable Daddy/Daughter day in Seattle, exploring the city, shopping, and making cherished memories. Nex was her Dad's pride and joy and their time together will forever be a testament to the special bond they had.
The home she shared with her Dad is adorned with her many eclectic masterpieces, a showcase of her creative spirit and passion for art. She had an innate connection with animals, and they, in turn, adored her. Her wicked sense of humor brought joy and laughter to all fortunate enough to know her.
Nex was a loyal friend, finding her greatest happiness in the company of those she held dear. When visiting her twin brothers, Slayde and Skylor Sprinkle, she enjoyed gaming and goofing off. She had a passion for gardening, cooking and thrift store shopping with her Grandma, Brenda Hawley, of Ferndale. She explored the world through movies, shopping, and many adventures.
Kylah is survived by her loving father, Kevin, her mother Rebecca, her twin brothers, Slayde and Skylor Sprinkle, who reside with their father in Beaverton, Oregon. Her Grandma, Brenda Hawley, of Ferndale, holds precious memories of their time together, as do numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In the wake of this heart-wrenching loss, the family implores you to share this story with young people who may be tempted to experiment with or are already struggling with addiction. Nex's passing serves as a stark reminder that addiction can affect anyone, even those we hold closest to our hearts. We did not believe this would happen to our beloved girl. Nex will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to United Church of Ferndale or Pass the Hat -
