Kyoko Miller, age 94, passed away peacefully in Seattle on February 9, 2025. She was born May 1, 1930 in Nagasaki, Japan to Jinsaku and Chie Yoshikawa.
Kyoko met Joseph Miller while he was serving in the US Navy and they were married January 5, 1959 in Fukuoka, Japan. She was a loving wife to Joe and a devoted mother to their daughter, Diana. Kyoko and Joe lived on Roland Street in Bellingham for over 50 years. In earlier years, they were members of the Church of the Assumption and American Legion Post #7.
Kyoko was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; infant daughters, Linda Miller and Deborah Miller; and sister, Fumiko Graves. She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Tom) Greive; sister, Yaeko Yoshikawa and family of Japan; nephew, Michael Little (Montgomery Smith); niece, Vivian Little (Jeffrey Bower) and their children Mercedes Hilburg and Harrison Bower; and many loving relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham.
