Linda B. Langey, age 69, passed away on September 3, 2016. She was born in Great Falls, Montana to Donald and Frances Burrus.
Linda graduated from Bismarck High School in North Dakota, earned her B.A. at the University of North Dakota, and her M.A. from Ohio University. She married Michael Langey on August 3, 1974 in Great Falls, Montana. Linda taught English at the high school and college levels, as well as English as a Second Language to adult immigrants. Her most important job was “Air Force Wife.” She supported her husband Mike’s career through 14 moves over 30 years. Linda loved the military life, living in different parts of the country and overseas. She also loved to travel and made numerous trips to enjoy Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Linda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mike, mother Frances Burrus, sister Cheri (husband Jack) Fix, brothers Ken (wife Carol) Burrus, and Mark (wife Jennifer) Burrus, and nephews and nieces Jodie (husband Bruce) Newman, Brittany Burrus, Matthew Burrus, Brian Fix, and many loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Donald and her brother David.
Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice or the Whatcom Community College Foundation for student scholarships. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 8. You may share memories at
