Lloyd Horvath passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2015 and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his father James Horvath (2005); and sister-in-law Dorothy Horvath (2015). He is survived by his mother Ida Horvath; siblings Allan Horvath, Gail (Craig) Docksteader, and Ken (Carol) Horvath; nieces Rebecca (Steven) Carleton, Lisa Docksteader, Amy Docksteader, and Chelsie Lorencz.
Born in Quinton, Saskatchewan, Lloyd grew up on the family farm outside of Raymore. He enjoyed working on the farm, as well as playing hockey and participating in the 4H club.
Lloyd was a hard worker, not only at home, but throughout his life, and always insisted on a high standard of excellence in his work. After high school, he went on to become trained as a journeyman carpenter and soon became a skilled finishing carpenter. To further his career, Lloyd later moved to Edmonton and then Vancouver, before permanently relocating to Bellingham, Washington.
In memory of Lloyd, a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on December 7th at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Roman Church in Regina, 1021 McCarthy Blvd. N., Regina, Saskatchewan. Lunch will follow in the church hall for family and friends. Father Carlos Jim Enez will officiate and internment will take place at Quinton Cemetery, Quinton, SK.
