Lois Margaret Mary Fisher of Custer, WA went home to her Heavenly Father on March 21, 2021. Lois came into this world on November 2, 1948 and was named Lois Margaret Clark by her parents Archie Arthur and Elois Margaret Clark of Ferndale, WA. Lois attended the Ferndale School District and graduated from Ferndale High School.
Lois enjoyed attending community activities and could be found at any one of the following events with her son Jon enjoying Blaine’s Drayton Harbor Days, the Old Settler’s Weekend in Ferndale, Bellingham’s Ski to Sea and of course the Northwest Washington Fair. Lois lived in Whatcom County her entire life and loved all the activities it had to offer.
Since Lois didn’t drive she had to rely on her friends and family to take her where she needed to go. Her friends always knew how much they meant to her and how much she appreciated their time and effort. As Lois’s biological family moved away and her parents passed on, Lois considered many of these friends related and often referred to them as family.
Lois is survived by her son Jon Henry Fisher and brothers Carl Clark II, Keith Clark, Roy Clark and sisters Jessie Clark and Mame Hamner. Lois is survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles and of course, her very precious friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and sister Edie Montgomery.
A Memorial will be held for Lois at a later date.
PERSPECTIVE
I am standing on the seashore.
A ship spreads her sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. I stand watching her until she fades on the horizon, and someone at my side says,‘She is gone!’
Gone where? The loss of sight is in ME, not in HER. Just at the moment when someone says, ‘She is gone,’ there are others who are watching her coming. Others take up the glad shout
‘Here she comes!’
And that is DYING.
