Lois Garlick, age 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28th in Bellingham, WA. She was born February 24, 1920 in Seattle, WA to Myron and Hazel Buckman.
Lois grew up on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle and graduated from Queen Anne High School and later the University of Washington, where she earned her degree in Zoology. While working at WWU, Lois met and married George Garlick and together they pursued their passions for science, raptor rehabilitation, boating, hiking, conservation, and support for environmental causes.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Garlick in 2005 and her sister Elsie Bates. She is survived by her children Gay Auckland of Wenatchee, WA, Myrle (Virginia) Foster of Bellingham, WA, Sally Foster of San Jose, CA, Bonnie (Joey) Campanoli of Cave Junction, OR, and Roberta Foster (Bruce West) of Seattle, WA, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Lois’ life will be held at Westford’s Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway at 11 AM on Friday, July 10th. Reception following.
