It is with very sad hearts that the daughters of Lois Olmstead announce her passing. This past December she celebrated her 102nd birthday. Mom was a kind, quiet, caring and loving person. She was always concerned with others and she was a wonderful person to ask for prayers. Her favorite color was pink. She loved her home state of Montana and especially her hometown of Lewistown. She loved country music, the Lawrence Welk Show and game shows. Her favorite flavor was mint. She loved taking pictures and car rides in the country. Lois married Otie Lee “Tom” Olmstead in 1937 then moved from Montana to Bellingham. They were both devoted members of Church of the Assumption. We pray that she is reuniting with her loved ones who have passed before her. She was predeceased by her parents Egbert and Mary, sister Rita, nephew Jerry and husband Otie Lee “Tom” of 53 years. She leaves to survive her daughters Barbara (Rob) and Teresa (Tom), grandchildren Shannalee (Eric), Kristalee (Dan), Jeff (Elisa), Mandalee, Jennifer and Andralee (Jason), step-grandchildren Beverly (Justin), Tom (Diana), Karla and Diana, nephew Alex (Sonny), niece Janet, and 17 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Assumption Thursday, June 6th at 10:30 am with a reception to follow. Fr. K. Scott Connolly will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice. Share your memories at
