Lucille Jean Davis

Lucille Davis, age 94 of Bellingham passed away on October 21, 2014. She was born in Seattle, WA on March 13, 1920 to Mathew and Millie Cotterrell. Lucille grew up in Bellingham and graduated from Bellingham High School. She went to beauty school in Bellingham and worked for Wahl Beauticians and Beauty Land. Lucille married her husband Buford in 1940 and they had 3 children Lynne, Rick and Gary. Later they enjoyed travelling to Desert Hot Springs Rainbow Spa, CA, and to Mazatlán, MX where they would live for several months at a time before coming back to Bellingham. Lucille’s hobbies included going to the Elks and to The Willows to play pinochle, she was in a pinochle club from 1939 until she passed. She also liked to bowl in the Bellingham bowling league. Perhaps most of all she loved going shopping for new clothes. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Buford, son Gary and brother Darel Lashua. She is survived by her children, Lynne Davis and Richard (Ginny) Davis, brother Don Lashua, sister Marilyn Hupp, 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren, and many loving family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW, 625 N. State St. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at 1PM. Please wear bright colors to honor Lucille.
