Magdalene Piantes

Magdalene Piantes, age 70, passed away in Bellingham on August 2, 2023. She was born December 29, 1952 in Price, Utah to James and Julia Piantes. Magdalene owned and operated her own beauty salon for years and later worked in medical records at North Cascade Cardiology. As an active member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and volunteered at the Greek Fest. Magdalene was active in Beta Sigma Phi International. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and needlework. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Tammy Jacobsen. She is survived by her sister Joyce Piantes, nephew Ted Jacobsen, aunt Georgia Sentkowski, and many loving relatives and friends.

Services will be held as follows: Trisagion Prayer Service Tuesday, August 8th at 6 PM at Westford Funeral Home. Funeral Service Wednesday, August 9th at 11 AM at St. Sophia followed by a graveside service at Bayview Cemetery. Reception following at St. Sophia.
