Marian L. Dunphy passed away on May 18, 2018 in Mount Vernon, WA.
Marian was born August 20, 1925 in Burlington, WA. She married Richard F. “Dick” Dunphy in Manhattan, Kansas in 1943. Marian worked in food service for the Bellingham School District for over 25 years. She was an avid rock hound with the Mt. Baker Rock & Gem Club. Marian and Dick were active members of Grace Bible Church since their move to Marysville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years, Dick, on December 28, 2017, her parents Albert and Alvena Ovenell, brother Fred Ovenell and sister Elaine (Ovenell) Mahaffy. She is survived by her children Diana (Bill) Bertram, Dr. James (Elizabeth) Dunphy, Patricia (Tim) Bellows, and numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 23rd at 10 AM at Greenacres Memorial Park, 5700 Northwest Dr. in Ferndale, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM at Westford Funeral Home, 1301 Broadway St. in Bellingham.
