Marjorie E. Rankin, age 85 passed away September 7, 2013 in Bellingham after a brief illness. She was born February 23, 1928 in Raymond, WA to Elgie and Mabel Morris. Marjorie worked as a dental assistant and as a cashier’s at Wahl’s Department Store. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and beachcombing. Marjorie was a devoted grandmother and dearly loved her great-grandson Trevor. She was preceded in death by husbands Mynor Peterson and John Rankin and brother Leslie Morris. She is survived by her daughter Debbie (husband Jim) Taplin, grandsons Shawn, Chris and Jeff Taplin and great-grandson Trevor Taplin. A Celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Thursday, September 12 at 11 AM followed by a reception. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
