Marlene G. Seeley passed away on May 1, 2017. Marlene was born on October 2, 1933 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to Charles and Grace Michel. Marlene met her husband Donn during her studies at Western Washington University and they were married on June 9, 1957 in Bismark, ND. After getting married, Marlene and Donn moved to Washington then California and from there they moved to Thailand where Marlene taught kindergarten students at the International School of Bangkok. They returned to California for a few years before moving to Hong Kong where she taught first grade at the Hong Kong International School for 5 years. The family then moved to Jakarta, Indonesia where she continued to teach first grade. After returning to the United States she raised her children, and finished her teaching career at the Whatcom Community College Preschool program. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Grace Michel and her brother Ray Michel. Marlene is survived by her husband Donn E. Seeley, sons Donn (Nance), Todd (Rob), Bruce (Christine) and Dean (Raissha) Seeley, 6 grandchildren, Madeleine, Gabrielle, Henry, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Sam Seeley, as well as extended family and friends. A Memorial Service for Marlene will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Westford Funeral Home at 11:00am. Share your memories at www.westfordfuneralhome.com .
